mess tin
I believe this item to be a soldiers mess tin from the Crimean war, it seems to be made of copper, and has folding handles.

1918 wooden truncheon
I HAVE FOUND THIS TIMBER ITEM AT PARENTS CLEAN UP. TIMBER TRUNCHEON WITH 1918 J. PILON ENSCRIBED. ANY VALUE AND ANY POSSIBLE HISTORY. 
I can't say where this truncheon has originated. The inscription is probably of the owner's name. Provisional value: $40-60 online.
