A lot of people toss their coffee into the freezer thinking this will keep it freshest. According to Abby's Guide that’s a mistake. She recommends storing it at room temperature, as freezing causes warm air to condense to it whenever you take it out. Moist coffee beans are no good! She also recommends storing your coffee in an opaque, airtight container so that liquid and oxygen can’t reach it.

Fifty candles in your living room sounded like a great idea before your husband arrived home from his business trip, but now, amidst a sea of melted wax, you’re probably thinking twice. No worries! Just grab your iron and a tissue. Set the tissue over the wax and gently iron it. When the wax seeps through or the tissue begins to brown, apply a new tissue. This should take it off nicely.

How to Fix a Can Opener that Drops the Can

Appliances don’t always work as they should. Parts stick, blades get dull—all kinds of things wear them out over time. If you have a can opener that keeps dropping the can, first, get a mop. Second, use this guide from eHow to fix it yourself. Here are the basics:
Why is it happening? There’s too much space between the cutter and the feed gear (the part that guides the can). To fix the problem, insert washers behind the feed gear to close the gap. What will you need? - Dishwashing liquid
- Washers
- A rag
- A stiff brush
- Pliers with tape on the tips
- A screwdriver
