Save Mesh Onion Bags to Use as Pot Scrubbers
Posted at 21:20, 21/08/2008 by LoriDeschene

By the time you’re done with a bag of onions, you’ve likely shed enough tears for a lifetime. Shouldn’t you get something in return?

48 Interesting Ways to Use Household Items
Posted at 19:45, 22/07/2008 by LoriDeschene
I admit—I love using food in unlikely ways. Nourish flowers with 7-Up? I'm all over it. Remove rust with egg whites? Sounds like a plan!
Here's even more:

1) Budweiser beer conditions the hair.

2) Pam cooking spray will dry finger nail polish.

3) Cool whip will condition your hair in 15 min.

4) Mayonnaise will kill lice and condition your hair.

5) Spike your hair (with Close-up tooth paste, it will also give it a tint).

6) Paint Elmers glue on your face, allow it to dry, peel off and see the dead skin and blackheads come off.

7) Use brewed Lipton Tea for shiny hair.

8) Empty a large jar of Nestea into your bath water to ease a sunburn.

9) Use Colgate or Crest toothpaste for minor burns.

10) Burn your tongue? Put sugar on it!

How to Keep Wooden Utensils from Smelling
Posted at 21:45, 30/06/2008 by LoriDeschene

Vinegar really is a cure-all. You can use it to reduce lint buildup in your laundry, improve your dishwasher cleaning action, and iron a permanent crease in your pants.

Don’t put it away just yet! You can also use it to keep your wooden utensils from absorbing smells, according to A Kitchen Fantastic. Soak them over night in vinegar, and they should stay scent-free.
