Improve Your Posture on the Job
Posted at 11:40, 01/06/2009 by JodyK
Posture starts with a good chair (and a little self-discipline). There’s a lot of talk about ergonomic chairs, but what makes for a truly great office chair? Comfort? Beauty? Affordability?

If you’re like most modern day workers, you probably spend a lot of time sitting down on the job. In order to be your most productive self, you need a good place to sit.

An effective ergonomic office chair should help prevent pain in the neck, back and hands (the most common victims of a day in front of the computer screen).

Height is a key element, so make sure that the height on the chair is adjustable, especially if it is for general office use (and not your personal home office). A flexible back and adjustable arm rests are also a good bet.

Most importantly, have a seat in the store and see how it feels. You’ll feel the difference a great chair makes almost immediately.
