Make Mulled Wine at Home
Posted at 09:18, 25/05/2009 by JodyK
Mulled wine is a tasty, comforting drink from time to time. It is also inexpensive and easy to make. Not only that, it’s a great way to make a cheap bottle taste even better.

So, to start with, grab an inexpensive bottle of red. Get some great whole spices, as opposed to ground, including cinnamon, ginger and cloves (whole spices prevent the liquid from becoming gritty). Toss it all into a large pot and let the full concoction simmer, not boil. Twenty minutes later, serve.

Alternately, you might want to try a slow-cooking crock pot, which you can leave to cook without any attention for hours on end. It’s also great for keeping the wine warm over the course of a party.
