Clean Your Jewellery with Ketchup
Posted at 19:55, 08/01/2009 by LauraWilliams
Much like you can clean brass with ketchup, you can use that versatile condiment to make your tarnished silver sparkle. If your piece has a smooth surface, Readers Digest recommends dunking it in a small bowl of ketchup for a few minutes. If it has a tooled or detailed surface, use an old toothbrush to work ketchup into the crevices. Make sure to leave it on for just a few minutes to avoid doing any damage. Oh yeah—and don’t forget to rinse it before you put it back on!
