Tone Your Lower Stomach Without Sit Ups
Posted at 18:59, 08/12/2008 by LauraWilliams

Most of us have less-than-perfect stomachs. Unlike celebrities, we don’t have personal trainers and dieticians helping us look toned and svelte. But it’s likely your lower abdominal region—beneath your navel—stores more fat than your stomach. Genetics could be to blame, or it could be that food isn’t digesting properly.

These tips should help you tackle the bulge:

  1. Change your diet by following the tips outlined here.
  2. Use this double-straight legged stretch. You’ll feel it working after just 5 repetitions.
  • Lie on your back with your legs straight.
  • Slowly raise your head and neck off the mat as if you’re starting a basic crunch.
  • Bend both legs in and raise them off the floor. Then straighten and point them in the air at 11:00. Keep your head and neck off the floor.
  • Slowly move both legs down (keeping them together and as straight as you can) until they are about a foot from the floor.
  • Now raise them back up and begin again.
  • Repeat this 10 times.
