In the movie First Born Elizabeth Shoe's dog eats rat poison and she finds the little guy moments too late. If your dog should get his snout into something toxic, you should definitely seek veterinary help. A quick fix is to induce vomiting. Simple Pet Care suggests giving your dog a tablespoon of hydrogen peroxide every 10 minutes for a maximum of 30 minutes.
