Pick Up Broken Glass with Bread
Posted at 19:45, 26/06/2008 by LoriDeschene

This is one of those tips that have presumably been passed down for years. It found its way to Julie Edelman’s book, The Ultimate Accidental Housewife: Your Guide to a Clean-Enough House. Then Oprah picked it up and published it in O—meaning it has to be gospel.  And in my cyber travels, I found it on apartmenttherapy.com.

If you drop a glass, after picking up the large shards get a piece of bread to tackle the smaller pieces. They should stick right to the bread. Naturally, be careful to press gently so you don’t end up getting poked.
