Vacuum Delicate Items Using a Screen
Posted at 21:15, 24/06/2008 by LauraWilliams

There are all kinds of delicate items that benefit from vacuum cleaning—tapestries, upholstery, area rugs. But sometimes the suction can be detrimental if it grabs too much of the fabric. Here’s an easy way to avoid that, courtesy of Tips.net:

Get a clean window screen and place it on top of whatever it is you want to vacuum. Then use the brush attachment to clean the item through the screen. This should keep all the fibers safe as you clean them.
