Digitize Your Vintage Camera
Posted at 17:19, 20/06/2008 by LauraWilliams
MyThings members have a penchant for antiques, so it’s entirely possible some of you have vintage cameras lying around somewhere. Here’s how to bring them to life, according to Photojojo:
You’ll need two cameras—the old one to aim, and a digital camera to take the picture. Essentially, you’ll be taking a photo through the viewfinder of the old camera, giving your picture an old-fashioned look you can’t get with today’s technology.
“The edges of the picture are blurred and the thick viewfinder glass gives you a fisheye effect. Dust and scratches can actually enhance these kind of photos. Plus you can leave the black edge around your picture when you crop it for that retro darkroom look."
