Remove Cracks from Plates with Milk

Plates would look so much better if you never brought forks and knives near them. Since that likely won’t happen, try this tip from
Oppossum Sally
:
Put the plate in a pan of milk and boil for 45 minutes. This should get rid of light hairline cracks.

Where do this ideas come from? What a waste of milk and fuel to heat it for 45 minutes. What constitutes a light hairline crack?????
