How to Remove Lipstick Stains from Fabric

You’d think by the end of the day when you take your shirt off your lipstick would have faded. Darn you newfangled long-lasting lipstick!

If you have a red-stained collar, try this solution from doityourself.com:

Rub vegetable or mineral oil into the affected areas and allow it to soak for 15 minutes
Blot excess oils with an absorbent paper towel or terry cloth rags
Sponge on a solution of 50 percent ammonia with water (unless the fabric is silk or wool)
Rinse thoroughly with cool water and wring out
Sponge remaining affected area liberally with isopropyl alcohol
Apply laundry pre-treat and launder in hot water
