How to Remove Lipstick Stains from Fabric
Posted at 23:23, 02/06/2008 by LauraWilliams
You’d think by the end of the day when you take your shirt off your lipstick would have faded. Darn you newfangled long-lasting lipstick!
If you have a red-stained collar, try this solution from doityourself.com:
  • Rub vegetable or mineral oil into the affected areas and allow it to soak for 15 minutes
  • Blot excess oils with an absorbent paper towel or terry cloth rags
  • Sponge on a solution of 50 percent ammonia with water (unless the fabric is silk or wool)
  • Rinse thoroughly with cool water and wring out
  • Sponge remaining affected area liberally with isopropyl alcohol
  • Apply laundry pre-treat and launder in hot water
