Get a Great Lighting System on the Cheap
Posted at 20:08, 02/06/2008 by LauraWilliams
Odds are you never have to spend as much as you think you do—not if you’re resourceful. Shuttertalk.com shows you how to put together a stellar photography lighting system for under $80/£40.
The items included in the article are:
  • A system of three hot-lights (two on a tripod) ranging from 200 watts to 500 watts each (around $15/£8 each)
  • Large diffusers for the hot-lights about 120x135cm with stands (around $10/£5 each)
  • Large portable reflectors about 130x150cm of silver and white (around $4/£2 each)
  • A selection of external Perspex flash diffusers (free!)
