There's nothing more frustrating than buying something you could easily make yourself—other than buying something your toddler could, too. Take screen protectors, for example. About.com explains how simple it is to make your own for practically nothing.
 
Buy clear vinyl tablecloth from a fabric store, usually under £1 a yard. Cut to it to the right size, and then add a few drops of water on the screen. Attach and smooth out bubbles.
