How to Remove a Musty Odor from the Inside of Furniture
Posted at 16:20, 14/05/2008 by LoriDeschene

If you get a great piece of furniture from an antique shop or estate sale it might not smell quite as nice as it looks. Furniturefixer.com outlines a simple solution: Get a spray bottle of denatured alcohol or other antimicrobial and spray the entire inside. This will kill any mold spores that may be lurking. Let it dry open for a week. If you don’t see results after that, you may need to seal the raw wood with some type of odor-sealing finish.
