If Magnets Mess Up Your Computer Monitor....
Posted at 18:23, 29/04/2008 by LoriDeschene

Magnets can turn your computer monitor into a blurry, psychedelic-looking mess. (Definitely not cool, even if you loved the 70s). If you can’t fix the problem by pressing degauss on the monitor, try this solution from Madville.com:
Strap a couple magnets on a high rpm drill. You’ll need magnets at least powerful as the one that messed up your monitor.
Bring the drill to a high rpm and point at the monitor like a ray gun. Once you pull the gun away—while it’s still running—the spots and swirls should be gone. It may take a few tries.
