What kind of things do you put in the microwave? Popcorn? Frozen meals? Aluminum foil? (That last one was a test. Microwave+Foil = Kitchen full of flames!) Your microwave can do a lot more than you may think, like… Get the lumps out of your brown sugar Fill a cup of water and place it in the microwave oven along side a microwave safe container containing the rock hard sugar. Remove a stamp without damaging it Place a couple drops of water on the stamp, and microwave it for about 20 seconds. The stamp will come off easily. De-crystallize honey A crystallized jar of honey can be restored in the microwave oven. Remove the lid, and heat it on 50% power for about two minutes. Make onion peeling a tear-free experience If you love to cook with onions but you don't want to cry, trim off the ends, and heat the onions on full power for about 30 seconds. Your chopping will be a tear free experience. Make tomatoes super easy to peel peel tomatoes, place 2 cups of boiling water in a container, add the tomatoes and heat on high for 1 min. Plunge into cold water and the skin will peel of easily. But wait…there’s more! Squidoo has the rest.
