MyThings Tests Your Tips: How to Deodorise Sponges
Posted at 16:59, 17/04/2008 by Dina323

Welcome to the first weekly MyThings Tip Clip!

Sometimes we find tips for Tips & Tricks that seem so unlikely that we just have to try them out for ourselves, so every week the ladies of MyThings will test one tip - either from a previous post or a member suggestion.

This week: can you deodorise and disinfect a sponges by soaking it in a bowl of water and lemon juice and microwaving it for one minute?

For scientific purposes, we used the smelliest sponge we could find, which was supplied by product manager Tania. If judged by smell alone, Tania was apparently using her sponge to scrub down wet dogs in a sulfur bath. We didn't really believe anything could remove that smell from our memories, never mind the actual sponge. Watch the video to see what happened!
