For those who think outside the mousepad, Korean company Navisis has created EZ-Canvas - an acrylic panel which goes over a typical LCD monitor, turning it into a tablet screen. Retailing for only $170, the EZ-Canvas eliminates the need for a mouse, allowing you to transfer pen-strokes directly on your monitor with a stylus and navigate using an attached EZ station.

While the quality of the EZ-Canvas may be inferior to similar products like the Wacom Cintiq, it's significantly more affordable than traditional tablets, and the easy install is alluring to the casual user. In short, it may not replace your mouse, but it's certainly fun to play with.
