Why? Because she has her parents genetic make-up. Laila Ali, will have a head start in the world of boxing thanks to her dad, Mohammed Ali. And any television that has been through the Sony hothouse will inevitably be a cracking television. So it comes as no surprise that we love the KDL-40S2010. If it?s a plasma you?re looking for, keep walking because Sony no longer produce them. The future they believe is in LCD TVs. And the S2010 is one of the three Bravia range they produced to replace the redundant plasma. The HD ready KDL40S2010 uses the Bravia technology which combines enhanced picture processing and improved colour filtering. With its extremely high 1300:1 contrast, even at the lower end of the Bravia range, the S series provides deeper richness in colour and picture detail. The Super Patterned Vertical Alignment (S-PVA) of the liquid crystal making up the picture adds to the quality of the image and with the super wide viewing, according to Sony allows you to watch the set across a 178 degree arch without any problem with colour or contrast. It?s also got a fast response time to make sure there?s a smooth transaction in fast speed chases. Design wise it arrives in an appealing grey facade with fabric covered speakers attached at the bottom. Finally the extras. There?s an integrated digital tuner, and around the back you?ve got a HMDI input, two Scart sockets, PC input and an S-Video socket.

It might be pricey bur this is a great TV for high-defi nition in terms of pictures and few TVs are as enjoyable to watch as this Bravia

What we think: Comparatively overpriced for an unexceptional specification and performance/

Pros: Very great pic. Even in standard definition is very good. Excellent sound quality. Would definitely purchase another of the same.
Cons: Pics in standard definiton does not expand to the entire screen. There are two vertical 4" black bars on either side of the screen. The pic viewing area is smaller than the regular HD screen size.
